By entering the Western Sydney Wanderers FC (WSW) School of the Year 2016 you are agreeing to the following Terms & Conditions:

PART A – GENERAL TERMS

  1. Information on how to enter the School of the Year 2016 (Competition) and prize details form part of these terms and conditions of entry.
  2. Participation in the competitionconstitutes acceptance of these conditions of entry. Entrants must comply with these conditions of entry to be valid.

PART B – PROMOTER’S DETAILS

  1. The promoter is Western Sydney Wanderers FC (ABN 26 156 634 016) of Level 1 Athletics Grandstand, Blacktown International Sportspark, 81 Eastern Road, Rooty Hill 2766 (Promoter).

PART C – WHO CAN ENTER

  1. The competition is open to WSW School Ambassador schools inclusive of their enrolled students, teachers and parents/guardians of enrolled students.
  2. Employees of the Promoter or the Promoter’s associated agencies or companies directly involved in School of the Year 2016 and their immediate family members are ineligible to enter.

PART D – HOW TO ENTER

  1. The Competition commences on Monday 1st February 2016 9:00am Australian Eastern Time (AET) and entries close on Sunday 28th August 2016 11:59pm AET.
  2. The Competition is open only to schools that are part of the WSW School Ambassadors network.
  3. To enter the Competition:
    1. A school representative must register their school with the WSW Community Engagement Department by completing the online form on www.wanderland.com.au/community/school-programs/school-of-the-year/. Please note: Registrations will open on Friday 20th November 2015 9:00am and be open until the end of Term 1 of the NSW scholastic year Friday 8th April 2016 11:59pm.
    2. Registrations before Monday 4th February 2016 will be eligible for early bird bonus of 2,000 points
    3. Once the registration has been approved by the WSW Community Engagement Department the school’s name will be added to the School of the Year 2016 web platform (www.wswschooloftheyear.com.au). Please note: The School of the Year web platform is hosted by FanMaker and will be live as of Monday 4th January 2016 9:00am.
    4. Enrolled students, teachers and parents/guardians of enrolled students will be able to create their own profile and tag their school on the School of the Year 2016 web platform and begin earning points for their school by completing the set challenges listed under the ‘How to Earn Points’ button. Please note: If an individual has already created a profile on another FanMaker hosted platform they can use the same login for this site.
  1. A handicap points system will be in place in order to create a more level playing field across schools. The number of points allocated will depend on the number of students enrolled in each school as of Monday 1st February 2016 9:00am (AET). The points will be manually allocated as follows:

  3. There will be set Surprise Challenges through the competition period. Schools Ambassadors will be advised a minimum of two weeks prior to when this will go live.
  4. The Resources tab on www.wswschooloftheyear.com.au will be live by January 20, 2016.
  5. A school can only earn points via the challenges stated above. No points will be awarded for any task outside of these terms and conditions unless otherwise specified by the Promoter.

Part E – How to Win

  1. All registered schools that have entered the Competition during the competition period are eligible to win. The final points tally will closed at Sunday 28th August 2016 11:59pm AET. The winner will be notified by a phone call and email by a representative of the Promoter from the Western Sydney Wanderers FC head office Level 1 Athletics Grandstand, Blacktown International Sportspark, 81 Eastern Road, Rooty Hill, NSW 2766 on Monday 29th August 2016
  2. Monthly prizes will be given away to schools that accrue the highest amount of points in a given month. A school cannot win a monthly prize more then once. If a school has won the monthly prize they are still in the running to win the major prize at the end of the competition. Monthly prize periods are as follows:

  3. At the end of the Competition the school with the most accumulated points over the competition period will win the title of Western Sydney Wanderers School of the Year 2016 and win the major prize.

Part F – Prizes

  1. There are seven (7) monthly prize packs to be given away, each prize a total value of $1,000. The monthly prize pack includes the following:
    1. A free WSW Soccer in Schools clinic which includes two WSW community coaches, a 60 minute session covering three stations for a maximum of 60 students. This will be coordinated between a WSW coach and the school to book in the session
    2. A football team pack which includes two WSW branded portable goals, 10 player bibs, 16 cones and four footballs
  2. The major prize is the money-can’t-buy experience which includes hosting a WSW football expo at your school. The date and time will be set July 2016 and communicated to all entrants in the Competition. Included in the prize is the following:
    1. All WSW teams in attendance (Hyundai A-League, Westfield W-League,Foxtel National Youth League and Powerchair)
    2. A mini Wanderland precinct with face painters, jumping castles, the WSW Official Merchandise van, penalty shoot-outs, soccer tennis, small sided games, WSW and partner co-branded signage and the NRMA skill tester
    3. The Promoter will be giving away free WSW promotional merchandise on the day
    4. Food and drink provisions are not included in the prize. The Promoter will provide a Certificate of Currency upon announcing the winner and coordinating with the school the planning of the event. The Promoter will request a risk assessment from the school to ensure everything meets proper safety precautions. The school will need to ensure all parents/guardians have signed their child’s release form to allow the Promoter to photograph and film the activities on the day.
  3. In the event that there is a tie for the major prize – a tiebreaker challenge will be set and to be completed in 24 hours from Tuesday 29th August 2016, 9:00am AET and close Wednesday 30th August 2016, 8:59am AET. The Promoter will set the challenge on the Monday 28th August 2016 and notify schools via email and phone call.
  4. Unless specifically stated in these terms and conditions, the winning school is responsible for all other expenses in connection with the major prize. The Promoter is not responsible for any damage or loss of valuables that are caused by the school and any individual that that comes under its banner and jurisdiction.
  5. The prizes (including any unused portion) must be taken as stated, and are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. The Promoter will not be liable in the event that the winning entrant does not take, or is unable to use, the prize or any portion of it for any reason.
  6. Entrants grant the Promoter permission to communicate with them by email and/or telephone in order to provide instructions as to how the winning entrant is to claim the prize and establish his/her entitlement to it. The winning school will receive the prize within 28 days after the date of being won.
  7. If the major prize is unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to change the date of the event to an approved date from the administrators, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority. In participating in the Competition, the winning school agrees to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial and media/PR activities relating to the Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winner entrant authorises the Promoter to use such footage and photographs together with the winner’s name, voice, video entry, image and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes in any media in perpetuity worldwide without additional compensation or further reference to the winner

Part G – Unclaimed Prizes

  1. Subject, where relevant, to any directions given under the legislation regulating the Competition, if the prize is:
    1. Not claimed by the winning entrant by Friday 2nd September 2016, 5:00pm; or
    2. Forfeited for any reason, the prize will be deemed unclaimed and the Promoter will hand the prize to the second placed school on the leader board.
  2. The winning school of any unclaimed prize will be notified by phone and email within one business day after the date of the unclaimed prize entry.

PART H – NO LIABILITY

  1. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies assume no responsibility for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by an entrant or due to any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in the Competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of the competition including any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
  2. If for any reason, the Competition is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the competition), the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant who undermines the fairness of the competition (by, for example, tampering with, or using or exploiting errors in, the entry process to obtain a competitive advantage over other entrants), to take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to any direction given under state regulations, or any written directions given by a relevant regulatory authority.
  3. Once the prize has left the Promoter’s premises, the Promoter and its associated agencies take no responsibility for the prize being damaged, stolen or lost.
  4. The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these terms and conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the competition. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

Part I – Privacy Consent

  1. All entries remain the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Competition, to assist in providing the products or services an entrant has requested (if any), and to improve its products and services. The Promoter or any of its related companies may use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, and may be in touch by any means (including telephone, email or SMS) at any time to let you know about products, services or promotional activities which may be of interest to you until you inform the Promoter otherwise.
  2. The Promoter may also share your information with other persons or entities who assist it in providing its products or services or running competitions or trade promotions (including administering the competition or trade promotion or distributing prizes). The Promoter may also disclose your personal information in accordance with these terms and conditions if you are the prize winner, and as required, to Australian regulatory authorities.
  3. The Promoter is bound by the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and by participating in the School of the Year 2015 competition, each participant is taken to consent to its privacy policy.
